NTPC Simhadri kicked off a two-day Girl Empowerment Mission (GEM) Winter Workshop on 10th January. This follow-up program aims to shape a generation of young girls, inspiring them to become leaders, change-makers, and advocates of empowerment.

The event commenced with a welcome ceremony for 110 girls from 13 government schools near NTPC Simhadri. Each participant received kits containing yoga mats and stationery items. Shri Sanjay Kumar Sinha (Head of Project, Simhadri), extended a warm welcome to the girls, marking the beginning of the workshop.

Following introductions, the 110 girls engaged in enlightening sessions led by a Personality Development specialist. The goal was to equip these young girls with the skills to navigate the challenges of the modern world while fostering a strong sense of self-worth and confidence.

The event witnessed the presence of notable figures, including Shri Sanjay Kumar Sinha (HoP, Simhadri), Shri Novahu Gaddam (GM-UFSC), Shri B B Patra (Head of HR), Smt. B Padmaja (Principal, BBPS), Shri K Prakasa Rao (Manager, HR), Shri Shivam Pratap Singh (Executive CSR-HR), and members of the Deepika Ladies Club.
